Frequently Asked Questions

What is a personalised birthday video with name?
A personalised birthday video with name is a birthday song written just for them, with their name sung in it, combined with an animated music video. Every line of the song has a drawn scene, and the lyrics with the name run along in time.
How can I create a birthday video with name?
You answer a few questions above about the birthday person: name, age, relationship, shared memories and music style. From that we write and sing the birthday song and turn it into the birthday video with name. You need no photos and no video editing.
Is the name really sung in the birthday song?
Yes. The name is in the lyrics and sung in the birthday song, usually several times in the chorus. In the video it also appears as text, word by word in time with the music.
How long until the birthday song video is ready?
The birthday song is ready two to three minutes after you submit, and you can listen to the first 45 seconds beforehand. Then your birthday video is made, which takes up to 20 minutes. The page after purchase shows how much longer it will take, and as soon as everything is ready you get an email with video and song together.
Can I send the birthday video on WhatsApp?
Yes. You download the birthday video as an MP4 and send it straight away on WhatsApp, Instagram, Signal or by email. Or simply share the link, and the video plays in the browser, on the TV too.
Who is a personalised birthday video for?
For anyone you want to give more than a text message on their birthday: Mum, Dad, Grandma and Grandpa, your partner, your best friend, colleagues or kids. A birthday video with name is especially popular for milestone birthdays, such as the 18th, 30th, 40th, 50th or 60th.
Is this a happy birthday video with name?
Not quite: instead of Happy Birthday with a name dropped in, you get a birthday song all of its own with their name, with lyrics about the birthday person and your memories. It sounds like a real song, not a standard serenade.
Which music styles are there for the birthday song?
You choose between Pop, Schlager / Europop, Acoustic / Folk or Rock, or let us surprise you. You also set the mood, from cheerful and funny to emotional, and whether a male or female voice sings.
What exactly do I get?
You get the birthday video with name as a link and as an MP4 file, the birthday song as an MP3 and the complete lyrics. You may use all of it freely for private use and at the party.
Can I decide what the birthday person looks like in the video?
Yes. In the questionnaire you briefly describe their looks, such as hair colour, hairstyle, glasses, beard or the colour they love to wear, and we draw the character to match. You can also say who else should appear in the video, pets included, and what absolutely has to be seen, for example the red bicycle or the favourite beach.
What if I don't like something in the birthday video?
Just reply to the email with the video and describe what we should change, for example hair colour, clothes or places. We adjust your birthday video for free up to three times.
Can I still change the song before I buy?
Yes, once for free. If something in the preview is wrong, such as a name sung incorrectly or a detail, you describe right below what should be different. After about two to three minutes you hear the improved version. Only then do you decide whether to buy.
