Yes. On full payment you receive a usage right unlimited in time, place and purpose that expressly includes commercial use. You are also allowed to edit, shorten and remix the song.
In concrete terms: you may play the song privately, run it at a party, post it on social media, put it into a video, use it as an advertising jingle, play it in a podcast, put it on your phone hold line, or play it at a trade fair or in your shop. The right is transferable, so you can give the song away or pass it to a client.
The usage right is not exclusive. We write every song individually from your answers, we do not publish it and we do not use it as a sample unless you expressly allow it. What we do not hand over is exclusivity. If you need exclusive use, talk to us before ordering.
One point many providers leave out: the words and the recording are created with generative AI, and under current law in the United States, Germany and the European Union, purely machine-generated material can fall outside copyright protection because the human authorship is missing. We therefore do not promise that copyright arises in your song, and we cannot obtain such a right for you.
In practice that means you may use the song without restriction in the ways described above, but you may not be able to stop somebody else from using a similar song. For the vast majority of occasions, birthdays, weddings, anniversaries, a company jingle, this makes no difference. If you need an enforceable right for a brand, trademark protection for the sung name or slogan is normally the route.
