The song is sung by an AI voice that reads your text the way it is written. For common names that works almost without exception, and so does the everyday vocabulary of the language you are reading this in. The voice keeps the same accent throughout, so a name does not suddenly change character halfway through the chorus.
It gets harder with rare spellings, with names from another language, and with names that are stressed differently here than where they come from. Siobhan, Xabier, Grzegorz or a surname with silent letters can come out too literally. The same applies to place names that only locals know how to say.
The reliable fix is to spell the name the way it should sound, not the way it appears on the passport. Write Schack instead of Jacques if that is how the family says it. One thing to know: the written lyrics you receive will then carry that phonetic spelling, so use it for the sung version and keep the correct spelling for a card or a printout.
Numbers behave the same way. Digits can be read as a whole number or as single figures, so write out eighty rather than 80, and the third of May rather than 3/5. The same goes for times, roman numerals and abbreviations. Written as words, they come out right the first time and the line also scans better.
